Q: When is the latest I can arrive to ride VSC transportation?

A: You will need to arrive at the VSC no later than 6:15 a.m., or 6:30 a.m. at the Akron VA Clinic or 6:45 a.m. at the Metro Transit Center.

Q: When does the bus leave the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center

A: The VSC bus leaves the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center at 12:30

Q: When should I schedule my appointment if I am riding the VSC bus

A: The VSC bus will arrive at the Louis Stokes VA Medical Center by 8:00 am and leave at 12:30 pm, Monday through Friday with exceptions to federal holidays, severe weather or traffic conditions. When scheduling an appointment, express to your care provider that you are using the VSC transportation and need a morning appointment.

Q: What will I need in order to ride VSC transportation?

A: You will need to Call, Complete this form  or stop in to reserve space; a valid VA medical appointment

Q. Can I have a caregiver accompany me to my VA appointment?

A. Yes, if a caregiver is needed. However, a veteran with an appointment or emergency has priority over non-essential riders.

Q. What if I need to transport my power wheelchair, can I be accommodated?

A. The VSC vehicles are unable to transport a power wheelchair. Please request “Special accommodations”

Q. Do you transport veterans that live in the Twinsburg, Macedonia, and Remindersville region?

A. Yes, we will provide transportation service on Tuesdays and Thursdays to the northeast region of Summit County at a specified location.
